About Us

The Central Valley Institute for Regional and Historical Studies at California State University, Fresno is working to enrich the lives of Central Valley residents through public history programs and meaningful community engagement.

By partnering with other public agencies, non-profits, business groups, and individuals, CVIRHS will record the history of the Central Valley from a variety of perspectives. All of our materials will be open for public use, scholarly inquiry, and will be archived at California State University, Fresno.

CVIRHS will also sponsor local students and scholars to explore the region’s rich history.
